July 23, 2009 - The 2009 AHTA Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Thursday 23rd July at Cusinart Resort and Spa. Start time will be 3:30 pm. All members in good standing are invited. More information about the AGM and speakers for the event will be published shortly.

September 30 - October 2, 2009 - The 2009 CHTA Small Hotel Retreat will be held in St. Thomas, USVI, at the Marriott Frenchman's Reef. This event is developed by small hoteliers for small hoteliers, focusing on marketing skills, technology, and human resource development.

January 10-12, 2010 - The 2010 Caribbean Marketplace, sponsored by CHTA, will be held in Puerto Rico in January. Registration For Caribbean Marketplace 2010 is now open. Caribbean Marketplace is the requisite business-to-business marketing event for the
Caribbean hotel and tourism industry to meet, network, negotiate, and conduct business with buyers from around the world. In 2009, Caribbean Marketplace had a record attendance of 1,521 delegates, 410 booths and 12,292 pre-scheduled appointments. Check out some of the following events that may be of interest to you and visitors to our beautiful island:

July 5, 2009 - Anguillian cyclists compete in the John T. Memorial Cycling Race with others from throughout the Caribbean on a challenging course that winds its way across our island. The route begins in the Valley before going East to Sandy Hill roundabout, it continues to the West End, then on the way back, loops through Sandy Ground before returning to the East.

July 6, 2009 - Come enjoy a delicious 4 course meal showcasing Anguilla's GOLD Medal Winning National Culinary Team Menu and featuring Glendon Carty's "Caribbean Chef of the Year" Individual Award Winning Dish. The Dinner will be held at 7:30 pm at the new DaVida Restaurant in Crocus Bay.
