Already awash in accolades over recent years, Condé Nast Traveler will announce in its November issue that its readers have ranked Cap Juluca as #13 of the 40 Top Resorts in the Caribbean and the #1 Resort on Anguilla. The winners of Condé Nast Traveler 2011 Readers' Choice Awards for the ‘Best In The World’ are sifted from more than 8 million votes cast in their annual Readers’ Choice Awards survey.

Nurse Lynette Rogers, Manager of the Rosewood Centre located in the eastern end of the island, has lauded CIBC FirstCaribbean for its Adopt-A-Cause Programme.
She made the comment on Sunday 16th October during a luncheon, at the Home hosted by CIBC FirstCaribbean, marking the third of the Bank's 2011 Adopt-A-Cause Programme in Anguilla. Similar lunches were hosted at the Miriam Gumbs, Tender Loving Care and Just Tender Care Senior Citizens Homes.

Recently-graduated Attorney-at-Law, Nakishma Rogers, is the latest Anguillian to be admitted to the local Bar. Her application for admission before High Court Judge, Madam Justice Louise Brenman, was made on Thursday, October 13, by Vice President of the Bar, Josephine Gumbs-Connor, and supported by Attorney Jean Dyer, one of the other executive members of the Bar.

Medical Air Services Association (MASA) in Anguilla has been the largest contributor in funding the purchase of the necessary equipment. The other sponsors are the Diabetes Association and the Ministry of Social Development.

ANGLEC'S GM: "High Electricity Price Due To High Price Of Fuel

ANGLEC’s General Manager, Thomas Hodge, says the cost of electricity can be burdensome for many customers who are in fact complaining about the high rates.
He made the statement on Monday this week, while handing over a solar panel system to the Health Authority to reduce the cost of electricity at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. It is a pilot project which, in time, can lead to consumers in Anguilla taking advantage of opportunities to use renewable energy (both from the sun and wind) to reduce their electricity bills.
