On Saturday November 26 a new exhibition opened at the Devonish Gallery with pottery from Brenda Lawrence and paintings by Gersha Hendrickson. A large number of persons were present for the opening to view the items and showed appreciation for the work.

International Arts Festival Winners Announced

The winners of the International Arts Festival were announced at a cocktail reception at Wallblake House on Friday December 3 Many persons attended the event and viewed the 48 paintings that were the finalists in the competition. Garve Beckham who, with Suzanne Seitz, judged the competition announced the winners.

St. Martin-based professional artist, Roland Richardson, now exhibiting in Frangipani Beach Club at Meads Bay, Anguilla, is offering to give free tutorship and advice to local practicing artists, students and other persons interested in drawing and painting. His exhibition is expected to continue until April 15. He will be available at the hotel from this weekend to that date to all persons wishing to see or purchase his work; interested in receiving assistance; and even to have their portrait sketches done.

NATIONAL COUNCIL OF WOMEN DISPLAY ART AND CRAFT

The National Council of Women as part of their 21st anniversary celebrations are currently holding an exhibition of art and craft work at the Arts and Crafts Centre in The Valley. Work displayed features the hardanger work of Irenee Edwards, ceramics, paintings, tie-dye, wooden sculptures and batik by Melsadis and Vivian Fleming, Louise Brooks, Bernice Fahie-Richardson, Valerie Thompson, Courtney and Carrolle Devonish and students of the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School.

CuisinArt Plans More Art Exhibitions

CuisinArt Resort and Spa has mounted its first art exhibition for the year and is hoping to have many more by various artists during 2003. The resort opened this season with a new boutique set up in the area where the art gallery was originally located. The gallery has now been moved to a partly open area in the vicinity of the hydroponic farm and in a section of the lush gardens.
