The C.C.B Female Football League moved into second gear last week. On Wednesday, in a thrilling encounter, defending champions Shining Stars were held to a one all draw by bottom of the table, De Youngsters FC. Morihinzi Richardson opened the scoring for Shining Stars in the second half, but Jonicia Thomas brought the youngsters level in the dying moments. Jonicia was named player of the game for her hard work in midfield.

The weather forecast called for rain and heavy winds for the seventh annual Anguilla Regatta, but the rains kept clear and the winds were perfect for all three days of racing in this year’s event. Regatta organizer, the Anguilla Sailing Association (ASA) says that this year’s regatta was the best one yet with all aspects of the event going smoothly and all of the participants having fun over the three days.

There are some young, upcoming Anguillian cricketers who may one day join other locals in making the island proud in regional competitive cricket matches as demonstrated by the Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School under-19 team on Sunday, March 29. They emerged victorious against a team from the Royal Anguilla Police Force. Both teams were the finalists in a series of matches in the 20/20 Caribbean Commercial Bank Tournament which started eight weeks ago.
